What Makes Our Sourdough Special?
At Banana River Bread, the difference starts with the ingredients—& our promise never to compromise them.
We use only the highest-quality organic, non-GMO flours, Maldon salt, & water filtered through a Simply Clear water filter system. Whenever possible, we source locally to support our community & ensure peak freshness.
We never use seed oils, preservatives, or aluminum-based flours. You’ll never find chemicals in our bread designed to make it last longer on a shelf, because we believe we were created to eat real food—wholesome ingredients our bodies can recognize & process.
Every loaf is naturally leavened with our wild sourdough starter, shaped by hand, & baked on a pizza stone for superior flavor & health benefits.
Bread is available for free local pickup, or shipped anywhere in the U.S. on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays depending on which day you place your order via 2-day priority shipping, so it reaches you fresh & full of life.

Picking up your order isn’t just about getting bread—it’s about stepping into a little slice of peace. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Merritt Island, my home bakery sits between the river & a calm canal. The sun warms the gravel driveway, aspreys call from nearby, & the salty breeze carries hints of the water just a couple houses down near Marker24 Marina.
When you arrive, you might see my friendly neighbors— who are also loyal bread customers—chatting for a moment, or you might simply enjoy the stillness.
The smell of freshly baked sourdough drifts from my kitchen, earthy & warm, inviting you to linger for a moment before heading home with your loaf. It’s a simple exchange, but one filled with community, care, & the comfort of real food. PLUS you always get to meet your baker in person!
